Yakira is a passionate basketball coach and performance specialist with a proven track record at every level—from high school prospects to aspiring professionals. Her journey began as a student‑athlete at William Paterson University, where she honed my skills on the court and earned the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential.
After graduation, Yakira served as an assistant coach for the women’s basketball program at Fairleigh Dickinson University–Florham Park, helping student‑athletes develop both on and off the court. Her next stop was Rider University, where she continued her collegiate coaching career and contributed to the Broncs’ competitive success.
In parallel with her coaching roles, she has designed and delivered sport‑specific performance programs for athletes of all ages—culminating in guiding one standout athlete to the professional ranks. Today, she leverages that experience in the private sector to train both the general population and competitive athletes.
